Feed My Starving Children Packing Event

November 5, 2016 - November 6, 2016 | 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Noisy offerings for May through October will go to Feed My Starving Children. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: volunteers hand-pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children, and these are sent to orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty. FMSC food reaches 70 countries.

The vision of FMSC is:
With God’s help, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) will strive to eliminate starvation in children throughout the world by helping to instill compassion in people to hear and respond to the cries of those in need.

November 5th we would like families and children (1st grade and up) and congregation members to take a day trip to their facility in Libertyville, Illinois. We’ll spend the day packing meals and may do an overnight at KeyLime Cove hotel/waterpark in Gurnee. Please use the following link to sign up for packing. http://volunteer.fmsc.org/Register/Group/JoinGroup.aspx?gid – joining code is 931251.

If you choose to stay overnight at Key Lime Cove – call (224) 656-8685 and ask for a room under St. John’s.
