Pastor Paul Mittermaier
Pastor-PaulIn the days Jesus walked the earth, Good News was passed mainly by word of mouth. After Jesus found  Philip (in The Gospel of John, chapter 1) Philip invited Nathanael -- an honest skeptic -- to "Come and see!' When St. John's came into being in 1862, the Good News was spread largely by word of mouth, partly in print-especially books, and partly by sign and by newspaper. Now, it's the 21st century and churches have the Internet to help spread God's Good News instantly to folks near and far! Would Jesus use the Internet? I'm certain that the One who communicated wonderfully with insiders and outsiders would! If you are a person searching for a church home, we invite you to Come and See if this is a congregation where you could feel welcome and could grow your faith and share your faith. If you're currently one of the insiders at St. John's, we hope this website will communicate relevant information about the mission and ministry you are part of, and also link you to other important sites in the wider church. We also ask you to send our link to friends, relatives, neighbors, who might like to see what's going on -- with God's help -- at St. John's. St. John's has been a welcoming church for over 160 years. We're growing with the Jackson, Germantown, Slinger, Richfield, West Bend, and Cedarburg areas and we understand that God has blessed us to be a blessing. If you'd like to worship, if you'd like to look into our Christian Education programs, if you'd like to explore baptism, confirmation, or are thinking of getting married, contact us. We have already made room in our building and in our hearts for you! Peace and joy, Paul Mittermaier, Pastor
