September 23rd is the day to get involved in this year’s God’s Work, Our Hands day of service. “God’s work. Our hands.” Is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. “God’s work. Our hands.” day of service provides us a chance to serve our neighbors in new ways and with new partners. It also provides an opportunity to gain new insights, to be renewed in faith and to gain fresh strength for serving in all our daily callings. See the enclosed brochure for more information on how to volunteer! Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well. 1 Peter 4:10
